Teresa Mangum is a professor in the Department of Gender, Women?s, and Sexuality Studies and Director of the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Iowa. Her work focuses on Victorian women?s literature, animal studies, and age studies. She is co-editor of the University of Iowa Press book series, ?Humanities and Public Life,? and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Humanities Alliance. In this oral history, Teresa Mangum shares a fascinating story about her personal interest in biography and museums, and then weaves this into a larger story about the University of Iowa and the Dickens Universe.
